
"Substantial benefits" include, but are not limited to, an understanding of how the work of foreign nationals can provide economic benefits to Canada (such as creating jobs, developing in regional or remote settings, or expanding export markets for Canadian products and services); promoting the development of Canadian industries ( such as technological development, product or service innovation, or opportunities to improve the skills of Canadians); enhance health and well-being, i.e., the physical and mental health of society, whether nationally or regionally; increase tolerance for different cultures, knowledge, or Opportunities to gather with other people of similar cultures.
Applicants who can prove the above-mentioned significant interests to the Department of Immigration can apply for a work permit through the C10-MIA exemption.
